How it works

  1. Pick a character

Each book has 8 complete patterns, from dolls and dogs to bedtime scenes and Christmas ornaments.

  2. Cut the templates from the book

The templates are printed ready to cut. Pin them to your felt and cut around the edges.

  3. Stitch, glue, or both

Follow the photo and step-by-step instructions. Hand-stitch for a classic finish or use glue for a quicker one.

Designed so you can start in minutes

Cut right from the book
The templates are printed ready to cut, so there's no photocopier, no printer and no tracing paper to hunt for. Open the book and start.
Make it once, or make it twenty times
Trace a template onto cardstock and you've got a sturdy pattern you can reuse again and again. Perfect for a whole flock of Christmas angels or a matching set for every grandchild.
A spare set in Volumes 1–5
Every pattern in Volumes 1–5 is printed twice, so you can fix a mistake without starting over. Volume 6 has one set, which keeps it our most affordable book.
Sew, glue, or both
Hand-stitch for a classic finish, use glue for a quicker one, or mix the two.
Felt and beyond
Made for felt, but the patterns work with fabric, craft foam or coloured paper too.

Pick your starting point

Each volume stands on its own, so start with whichever characters you love most.

Volume 1Dolls, Blooms & Feathered Friends

8 patterns, 104 pages, spare templates included

Where it all begins. Volume 1 mixes four sweet dolls with a classic teddy, a tropical fish, a black bird with rainbow wings and a layered fuchsia you can wear as a brooch. If you have never sewn before, start with the white teddy bear and work your way up to the dolls.

Volume 5Little Stories in Felt

8 patterns, 104 pages, spare templates included

Every pattern here tells a small story: Matilda in her yellow raincoat, a nurse with her stethoscope, a girl asleep with her puppy in an opening bed scene and a decorative Our Lady of Guadalupe. Plus a slice of pizza for play kitchens.

Made for makers of every kind

  • Complete beginners who want a first project that actually turns out well
  • Busy adults looking for a calm, screen-free way to unwind
  • Families crafting together: sewing builds fine motor skills, patience, focus and even a bit of practical maths through measuring
  • Gift-givers who'd rather make something than buy it

A gift that turns into more gifts

Every toy you finish is one of a kind, perfect for a birthday, a baby shower, or tucked under the Christmas tree. And the books themselves make a thoughtful present for a grandmother, an aunt, or any friend who loves a needle and thread.

Gift tip: pair a volume with a few felt sheets and embroidery thread for a ready-to-unwrap sewing kit.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a sewing machine?

No. Every pattern is designed for hand sewing with a needle and embroidery thread. You can also use fabric glue instead of stitching, or combine the two.

I have never sewn before. Can I do this?

Yes. Each pattern comes with a photo of the finished toy and step-by-step instructions written for complete beginners. Start with the white teddy bear in Volume 1, the simple doll with a bob in Volume 5 or the angel ornament in Volume 2.

Can I cut the templates straight out of the book?

Yes, that’s exactly what they’re for. The templates are printed ready to cut, so you don’t need a photocopier or printer.

What if I make a mistake while cutting, or want to sew the same toy again?

Volumes 1–5 include a spare set of templates for every pattern. Volume 6 has one set, which keeps its price lower. Either way, our tip is the same: trace the templates onto paper or thin cardstock before you cut, and you’ll have sturdy patterns you can use again and again.

What materials do I need?

Felt sheets in a few colours, embroidery thread, a needle and small sharp scissors. A little toy stuffing and some beads or buttons are optional. The patterns also work with fabric, craft foam or coloured paper.

Do I have to buy the volumes in order?

No. Each volume stands on its own with 8 complete patterns. Start with the one whose characters you like best.

Are the finished toys safe for small children?

Toys with beads, buttons or other small parts are not suitable for children under 3. For little ones, embroider the eyes and details instead of using beads.

Can children sew these patterns themselves?

Older children can, with a grown-up nearby to help with cutting and threading the needle. Sewing is a great way to build fine motor skills, patience and focus.
